All Sports Productions is proud to announce its newest event, the Fayetteville Half Marathon, to be held the weekend of December 11 and 12.

The start/finish line will be the John McDonnell Outdoor Track center with the competitors entering the track facility and making a lap on the track. The stadium, video screen and atmosphere of this great facility will be a one-of-a-kind experience for both the competitors and spectators.

The half-marathon course will run through parts of the University of Arkansas campus, Dickson Street, a portion of the trail system and Garland avenue.

Detailed information will soon be posted at http://www.fayettevillehalf.com/

The success of the recent Bentonville Half Marathon, the continued success of the Hogeye Half Marathon and the exponential growth that running races are now experiencing led to this event

Nationally, event promoters are seeing an increase in all types of non-traditional sports such as cycling, triathlons, swimming, etc. But, running events are experiencing growth on a level not seen since the early 80’s.

The reasons for such popularity is that running is a very inexpensive sport to begin, and does not require someone to devote an exceptional amount of time. With a strong push for a healthier lifestyle nationally, young and old alike can participate and running offers more social interaction than sports such as cycling and triathlons.

All Sports Productions is a sports event management and consulting company. All Sports Productions promotes cycling, running, duathlons, triathlons, adventure racing and other outdoor events. The goal of the company is to produce races at the highest standards, which are locally, regionally and nationally recognized events with a festival-like atmosphere.
