The Rock in Review site – A Little Rock hyperlocal
Clipped Fresh — By Christopher Spencer on January 20, 2010 at 9:53 AMCOMMENT: Looks like the new year brought with it the launch of a new hyperlocal news site in Little Rock. Former TV newsman Doug Krile appears to be driving the video-heavy WordPress site.
I was a little disappointed with the About page. I’m big on knowing exactly who the news is coming from, but it looks like a solid install with some nice potential moving forward.
Good luck and welcome to the hyperlocal news game. (Thanks to the Argenta News for the link)

What’s the link for the new site?
It’s up there under About. But it’s also reproduced here for convenience.

Thanks for the mention! Just for the record, we’re still in “testing” mode with an eye on the first of the month for really going “live”. The virtual sets are not in place and we’re still tweaking the content. One major factor is involvement of the local community in contributing content. The Rock in Review is just one project of Station X. You might also be interested in http://www.beerutopia.com! Again, thanks for the comments and keep checking back as we work toward the launch.
I completely understand being in an open beta type situation and troubleshooting while people watch. I’d say we are still doing that here.
I will certainly keep my eyes open, Doug. Thanks for stopping by and I’m excited to see a new hyperlocal pop up in Capital City. Frankly, I’m surprised there aren’t more.
Christopher, you guys were one of the first I was watching as we started this project, along with the Argenta News site. Great work up there in NW Arkansas!
Thanks for the very nice compliment. I’ll enjoying watching The Rock in Review develop as well.
