State launches Web site redesign at Arkansas.gov (via ArkansasBusiness.com)
Clipped Fresh — By Christopher Spencer on June 18, 2009 at 9:02 AMState Reveals Redesigned Web Site at Arkansas.gov – ArkansasBusiness.com .
COMMENT: The state redesigned their Web site in an effort to be more intuitive and friendly to visitors, be they on a computer or mobile device. Looks like they’ve adopted the less is more approach to their design. I like the aesthetics of it better than the old site. Not sure about navigation yet. Someone should pass on that design ethos to TV news station Web sites which tend to be almost spammy with their clutter.
FROM THE ARTICLE: An “eNewsRoom” makes available news, audio, video and photo feeds from over 65 Arkansas state agencies. The state also provides a Facebook page, Flickr photo group, Twitter feed and Youtube feed. Widgets are also featured for external embedding on personal, social or business pages
