Scaling the newspaper paywall: Ozarks Unbound participates in Sociable Media podcast

Tom Redwine of the Traffic Report blog in Northwest Arkansas is an avid and experienced podcaster. He was nice enough to include Ozarks Unbound in a recent podcast about the changing tools of media.

The sound is kind of rough, but I think you should be able to make out most of what we are saying. *grins* You’ll find the podcast on Tom’s Web site.

Four of us participated: Myself, Tom, Jamie Smith, former education reporter for the Benton County Daily Record and Logan Lovelace, a photojournalist for KFSM 5 News.

I chose to address the pay vs. free model for news distribution and we all tossed the idea around a bit. Give it a listen, if you have the time.
