The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold a Public Involvement Meeting in Fayetteville to discuss proposed improvements to Garland Avenue (Highway 112), according to AHTD officials.

Plans call for widening .75 miles of Garland Avenue to five lanes, extending from Wedington Drive (Highway 112 Spur) northward to the intersection with N. Janice Avenue/Poplar Drive.

The meeting will be held from 4 to 7 p.m.  Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1021 W. Sycamore Street, in Fayetteville.

The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
