NORTHWEST ARKANSAS (September 2, 2009) –Walton Arts Center brings a little country music to Northwest Arkansas with Little Big Town and special guest The Lost Trailers, Friday, September 18 at 8pm. Tickets range from $40.50 – $62.50 and can be purchased by calling the Walton Arts Center Box Office at 479-443-5600 or visiting waltonartscenter.org.

Little Big Town has become the talk of the town as the fan base for the American country band continues to grow. Founded in 1998, the group features members Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook and Phillip Sweet.

Little Big Town has strung a new chord in country music that breaks away from the ordinary band foundation. The quartet’s approach relies heavily on four-part vocal harmonies, with all four members alternating lead vocals. The band’s unique approach made them a hard sell at first in the ever-cautious country music field, but Little Big Town pushed forward with characteristic determination. The group survived through personal issues and several changes in record labels to become a new voice (or should we say voices) in American country music today. Their patience paid off with The Road to Here, which has sold over a million copies and produced four Top 20 hits including the Top 10 smash “Boondocks,” the Top 5 hits “Bring It On Home,” “Good As Gone” and “A Little More You.” Those hits also earned Little Big Town nominations at the Grammy® Awards, the Country Music Association Awards, the Academy of Country Music Awards and the CMT Music Awards.

Little Big Town will be touring for their 2007 release, A Place to Land (Capitol Records). The six-month tour will stop in 46 cities from coast to coast and will be the band’s debut as a headlining tour. Over the years, Little Big Town has complimented other artists on tour such as Sugarland and Jake Owen.

The Lost Trailers will join Little Big Town for the September 18 concert. The Lost Trailers hail from Atlanta and established themselves in 2000. Earlier this year, they were nominated for an Academy of Country Music award. Its members include Ryder Lee, Manny Medina, Andrew Nielson, Stokes Nielson and Jeff Potter. The Lost Trailers produced their first album in 2000 and recently released their fifth album titled Holler Back. The album’s current single is titled “Country Folks Livin’ Loud.”

The Lost Trailers are quickly gaining momentum, as they have been the opening act for popular country stars such as Sugarland and Kenny Chesney. Lead guitarist Stokes Nielson believes touring with such acts has taught the band one valuable lesson: “Deliver to your fans. Give them what they want: that’s the best of you.”

Little Big Town with special guest The Lost Trailers is part of the M&M’®s Concerts and Attractions Series.
