Honest Tunes provides preview of TheatreSquared’s Sundown Town
Banner, News — By Christopher Spencer on January 25, 2011 at 10:17 pmDgold of Fayetteville’s Honest Tunes Radio did the entire community a solid by inviting 3 Penny Acre into the studio recently to play some tunes from the world premiere of Sundown Town.
The original play by Kevin D. Cohea was commissioned by TheatreSquared and opens Feb. 4 at the Walton Arts Center’s Nadine Baum Studio. It runs till Feb. 20 and all signs point to another smashing success for TheatreSquared during a record-breaking season.

Other Events
The subject of the play is communities in North Arkansas where black people were required to leave before sunset or face possible violence in the early part of the last century.
Dr. Guy Lancaster, editor for the online Encyclopedia of Arkansas History and Culture, will present a program entitled, “Leave Town and Never Return: Racial Cleansing in Arkansas,” Tuesday, February 1 at 7:00 p.m. at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History.
