RE: FAYETTEVILLE POLICE MAKE ARREST IN DOSS HOMICIDE

Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today the arrest of a local woman for Capital Murder related to the death of Dominic Doss.

On Sunday, July 18, 2010, at approximately 10:50 A.M., a Fayetteville police officer responded to 401 West Twenty-Fourth Street, apartment #25, to assist Central Emergency Medical Service with a medical emergency. When emergency personnel arrived, they found two year old Dominic Doss unresponsive.

The child was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The follow up investigation led detectives to believe the child died as a result of abuse. The Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the death to be a homicide. On Thursday, July 29, 2010, detectives arrested Amber Drain, white female, age 23, of 401 West Twenty-Fourth Street, apartment #25, Fayetteville, for Capital Murder.

Dominic Doss was the son of Brandon Doss and Amy Grubb. Dominic Doss was in the care of Amber Drain on July 18, 2010, when he was found unresponsive.

Amber Drain is the girlfriend of Brandon Doss.

The investigation is continuing.

Wow. The report is really sad. She basically threw the child against the floor until he was unconscious and left him to dies in his bed while she slept. Capital Murder seems an appropriate charge.

What a bitch. You could tell she had zero regard for the child’s life. She’s looking a lot skinnier and wasted away since high school too. Judging by rumors about the father she’s probably been doing some meth as well. The father is known to beat his kids, guess she learned some tricks.

This is a sad situation all around. The young girl I knew and was related to would not perform such an act against a child. :( I don’t know what to say in this case.

This is a tragic story of a little boy’s senseless death. He shouldn’t have been left in this skanks care to begin with! And where were this precious child’s mother and father when this was going on? They are ALL to blame.

I personally knew Brandon, Amber, all the kids, which includes Dominic and knew of the Amy. First I will start out by saying this is an absolute tragedy. Dominic was a wonderful child. Brandon was very abusive to Amy and Amber. Amber was controlled and beaten repeatedly. Both Amys kids had been living with Amber and Brandon for about 18 months. Amy only took the kids at times. I seen Amber interact with Dominic and she was good with him and she loved him. Amber is very sick and needs medical help not death. She finally snapped after all the abuse. That doesnt make it right, but that is what happened. One last comment to the one that said God will have the last laugh. I don’t know what religion you are, but God is not a vengeful God. As he says: ask me to come into your heart and be your saviour and have everlasting life, ask for forgiveness and you will be forgiven.
