FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FRISCO SPIKE HAS BEEN FOUND

Sarah Parker and Allen Taylor were in Rogers on Friday for the Third Friday Twilight Walk. Both were helping with a booth set up for the Walk. Parker lives in Bentonville and Taylor was visiting from Joplin.

They took the list of twelve clues that had been released via the Frisco Festival web site on Friday and asked around to find those locations. After they spent about three hours looking, the pair walked up to First Western Bank to pick up clue number 13.

“Once upon a time Houses filled this block Now a single building And a small park with 3 big rocks,” the clue read.

Since they were in the area, the pair walked up Fourth Street and noticed that the Rogers City Administration building takes up most of one block. Then they saw the three rocks.

The pair found the spike hidden behind the trash bin fence on the west side of City Administration. The final clue, which was to be released on Wednesday, August 26, from First Western Bank, was “A great place for waste, the fence keeps trash and me concealed. On the back side – northeast corner, you’ll find my secret revealed.”

The pair will split the $500 prize. Taylor may use his share to help pay for a trip he has planned to New England next month. Parker is a volunteer with the diabetes fundraiser, Tour for the Cure, and may donate at least a portion of her winnings to that.
