Fayetteville Visitors Bureau wants to sell lottery tickets | CF
Clipped Fresh — By Christopher Spencer on November 4, 2009 at 10:50 AMBureau May Sell Lottery Tickets.
COMMENT: The Fayetteville Visitors Bureau wants the state’s lottery commission to allow the downtown store to sell lottery tickets, according to the Northwest Arkansas Times. State law governing lottery ticket and Powerball sales does not specifically address sales at a public agency shop like the bureau. The advertising commission which governs the bureau will consider the topic this month. City attorney Kit Williams has problems with the idea and says he’s not sure those sort of sales fulfill the bureau’s purpose.
