Fayetteville schedules vendor workshop to encourage business with city

The City of Fayetteville in partnership with the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce is holding the first ever “Vendor Workshop & Reverse Trade Show”.  This workshop is free for any business to attend.
8:30 AM - 9:00 AM: Vendor Workshop – Presentation of how to do business with the City of Fayetteville.  Presentation will discuss how the City is structured and review what contracts the City currently purchases from. A listing of current and upcoming projects will be presented. A location map on the main departments that purchase goods/services will be presented. The presentation will also review bidding procedures and how to get signed up on the City’s mailing list to automatically receive e-mails about bids, RFP’s (Request for Proposals), and RFQ’s (Request for Qualifications).
9:30 AM – Noon: Reverse Trade Show – Several divisions within the City will be set up at contact stations so vendors can contact each division. City staff will be prepared to discuss what items they currently purchase & visit with vendors on how they can get involved in the quoting process. The City will also have a DBE station for any minority business interested in doing business with the City of Fayetteville.  Minority and women-owned businesses are strongly encouraged to attend.
