Eureka Pizza
Tasty disc topped with cheese
Melts away hunger

or

Anchovy topping
Salty eyebrows I dislike
Use sausage instead

Ozarks Unbound is giving away gift certificates worth two large pizzas at Eureka Pizza.

And what better way to run a competition than to ask contestants to submit a haiku in celebration of pizza. Just leave your best haiku in the comments section after this post and you’ll be eligible to win.

We’ll do a random draw on Friday or after 10 people have left comments, whichever happens last. Ozarks Unbound will mail the certificates to the winnner, but don’t worry, more giveaways to come.

Good luck.

Thanks for adding one, Matt. I like it.

I guess I should point out that every haiku actually earns you a chance to win. So the more you submit, the better your chance.

I’m not competing myself, but I like writing haiku, so let’s see …

    Cold morning pizza
    Soothes and quiets my hangover
    Open the fridge

Excellent poems, DougR and uncle123. Made me laugh. Nice use of the word ‘Eureka’ on the second line of the second haiku.

Thanks to all for contributing your awesome haiku. They were all a lot of fun to read. DougR won this round, and congrats to him. Others contests will follow.
