Best-selling author Alexander McCall Smith visits FPL April 8

The Fayetteville Public Library will host a talk by best-selling author Alexander McCall Smith on Friday, April 8 at 7 p.m. in the library’s Media & Magazine Section.

His talk, ‘The Very Small Things of Life,” will be followed by a question and answer session with the audience.

The event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required.

McCall Smith has written more than 60 books, including the acclaimed No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series. The latest book in the series, The Saturday Big Tent Wedding Party, was recently released. The series has been translated into 45 languages and sold more than 20 million copies.

McCall Smith’s visit will conclude the library’s 5th annual Adult Reading Festival.

Copies of McCall Smith’s works will be available for purchase during his talk at the Fayetteville Public Library, and he will sign autographs following his talk.
