UPDATE: Abel Tomlinson’s arrest popped up on the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Web site. He was released on a $1,405 bond. He was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and public intoxication. This could certainly have a negative effect on his “unannounced” U.S. Congressional campaign.

Protest Stops Traffic in Fayetteville – KFSM.

FROM THE POST: A man was arrested after he protested from a tree in Fayetteville Monday afternoon. Abel Tomlinson climbed the tree on the Washington County Courthouse lawn and screamed profanities, according to witnesses. Traffic on College Avenue was blocked for 20-30 minutes after Tomlinson’s friend reportedly parked a vehicle in the middle of the road.

Isn’t this the same dude who got arrested on the U of A campus and was all apologetic about his actions? Sounds like he found the perfect place to reside. Nuts belong in trees.

Good for him! Civil disobedience is a good thing. How much is bail?

This could have been our congressman if the Greenies had their way. He was arrested for dealing magic mushrooms. Hardly civil disobedience.

Sigh. I was prepared to give this guy some consideration, but now I think he may seriously have some mental health issues. Get some help, Abel.

This guy is an American hero. George Bush would have bombed that tree. Obama is the only one. Turn your eyes to Obama and he will showest thou the light. Obama can place the meek among the trees and harvest the mushroooms of the earth so that the people might eat. Bless you Obama, you have risen from the ashes this Easter season and breathed new life into mother earth. Amen.

I’m ranking Obama as the top President in history already. Thoughts?

Glad you’re out of jail, Abel.

What a loser. A petulant child throwing a hissy fit and passing it off as some sort of intellectual protest. This is what happens when someone doesn’t have the ability to articulate their position, or their position is so weak there’s nothing to articulate.
Good luck with more juvenile protests you brainless hack.
